Elves'
History

Elves Special Needs Society has been dedicated to supporting growth and learning across all ages and abilities for more than 45 years. Our story began in 1973 with just seven children and three staff members. Through the generosity of the community, government partners, and the estate of Mr. Milton E. Elves, the organization opened its first dedicated facility in 1976, a building we continue to use today.

From these small beginnings, Elves has grown into an organization of over 200 staff supporting more than 400 learners across two Edmonton facilities. Our name honours Mr. Milton Elves, whose legacy of honesty, hard work, and commitment to community helped create a lasting space where individuals with disabilities can learn, grow, and thrive.
