Program Overview
Programming is designed to be engaging and enjoyable to meet the needs of children with FASD. Program staff are specially trained to support regulation, engagement, and positive social interaction in an environment where strengths are recognized and diversity is celebrated.
The program offers structured and predictable schedules while providing a wide range of activities. Program activities may include:

Program Environment
The program is delivered in a secure, child‑friendly setting with access to indoor and outdoor spaces, including a gym, playgrounds, and a sensory room designed to support comfort and engagement.
Family Support
Respite provides families with valuable time to rest and attend to personal or family needs. Families also have opportunities to access workshops, resources, and community connections related to FASD support.
Program History
Elves has supported individuals with FASD for decades. Since the 1990s, the FASD Respite Program has been funded through the Edmonton Fetal Alcohol Network (EFAN). The program was developed specifically to support children with FASD and provide their caregivers with specialized respite care. Elves continues to expand services to meet evolving family needs.

Operational hours: Saturdays, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (Closed during statutory long weekends, winter, spring, and summer breaks)
