Program Overview
The Summer Program provides structured, engaging, and supportive experiences designed to meet the needs of children and youth with diverse abilities. Staff create predictable routines and meaningful activities that promote participation, confidence, and positive social interaction in a safe and welcoming environment. Programming is developmentally appropriate and may include recreational and physical activities, creative projects, social games, community‑based experiences, and opportunities for skill‑building in a supportive setting.

Elves' ECS, School and FASD Respite Families who meet the admission criteria by invitation only
Learning Environment
The program is delivered in a safe, child-friendly setting with access to indoor and outdoor spaces that support comfort, engagement, and participation. Environments are structured to encourage exploration, connection, and positive experiences throughout the summer months.
Family Support
The Summer Program provides families with continued support during the summer while offering children and youth meaningful opportunities to stay active, engaged, and connected. Families can feel confident knowing their child is supported by trained staff in a structured and caring environment.
Program History
Elves Special Needs Society has supported children and families with diverse and complex needs for over 45 years. The Summer Program reflects Elves’ ongoing commitment to providing consistent, high-quality services that support growth, development, and well-being throughout the year.

The Summer Program is offered at Elves facilities in Edmonton.
